Why We Built It This Way: The Story Behind Our Joy-Con Charging Station

This isn’t just a dock. It’s the result of months of problem-solving, prototyping, and—above all—listening to what players actually need.

The first challenge? Fit four Joy-Con charging channels into a compact body that doesn’t clutter your desk or your backpack. To make this happen, we engineered a stacked circuit layout that compresses everything into 60% of the space used by traditional docks—without compromising safety or performance.

Next came compatibility with Switch 2’s rumored magnetic Joy-Con design. We custom-built a magnetic interface that passed over 3,000 plug/unplug tests, ensuring a firm grip without damaging the controller.

But we didn’t stop at functionality. We talked to players who told us they needed flexibility: something that stands up for desk setups, folds down for travel, and shows charging status clearly in the dark. So, we added dual-position design, a foldable stand, and LED indicators—small touches that make a big difference.
