Q. Why can’t my ROG Ally X enter 30W Turbo Mode when using the OmniCentro Charger Dock?
A. To ensure the ROG Ally X can properly activate 30W Turbo Mode, please follow the correct connection order.
Recommended connection order:
First connect the OmniCentro Charger Dock to the ROG Ally X, then connect external peripherals such as a USB flash drive or HDMI display. This ensures 30W Turbo Mode functions correctly.
Important notes:
If external peripherals (such as a USB drive or HDMI display) are connected before the ROG Ally X, the system will prioritize power delivery to those devices (e.g., storage devices or video controller chips). As a result, the handheld may only receive the remaining power and may be unable to enter 30W Turbo Mode.
For the best performance and power delivery experience, always connect the ROG Ally X first.
Q. What power does the Switch 2 support?
A. The OmniCentro Charger Dock provides 15V/2A (30W) power to the Switch 2 handheld. For reference, the official Switch 2 dock also supports a maximum of 30W (20V/1.2A).
Q. Does it support the original Switch or OLED version?
A. Yes! The OmniCentro Charger Dock is compatible with Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, and Switch 2.
Q. What video output does Switch 2 support via this dock?
A. The Switch 2 supports 4K@60Hz, 10-bit, RGB video output. Other models, including Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED, output 1080P@60Hz, 8-bit, RGB video.
Q. Can I charge with a USB-A to USB-C cable?
A. No. USB-A to USB-C cables provide insufficient power, which may prevent the Switch from charging and disable video output. For optimal performance, use a proper USB-C PD charger.
Q. Does it support other devices?
A. Yes. The OmniCentro Charger Dock supports other USB-C devices, providing both charging and video output functionality.
Q. Does it support Xbox controllers or other wired controllers?
A. No. The Switch 2 handheld does not support any third-party wired controllers. We recommend using wireless Bluetooth controllers for a seamless connection with the Switch 2.
