What Is FlipGo Horizon?

FlipGo Horizon consists of two portable monitors that you can place anywhere around the laptop to extend your desktop, and a robust snap stand that joins them together. In that way, you can get a horizontal workstation that is natural to the eye and keep several windows and tabs in view at the same time. In a nutshell, it’s a hardware solution aimed at improving your productivity on the go – both screens are super thin and lightweight, and the stand can be folded to fit any backpack.

FlipGo Horizon is available in two versions. The basic model is ready to use simply by connecting the screen to your laptop via a USB-C port, while the premium one offers a Snap Stand Pro with extra features. More than a stand, it’s a full docking station with several USB-C connectors and an Ethernet port. Last but not least, it enables two more screen configurations – the Stack Mode allows you to place both displays one on top of the other and show content in cascade, and the Solo Mode makes it possible to work with just an external screen while your laptop’s lid is closed.

The screens included are also different, not in terms of interface but dimensions, resolution and image quality. Both displays included in the FlipGo Horizon offer Full HD graphics (1920x1080), a refresh rate of 60Hz and 800:1 contrast ratio within a device of 15.6’’. The FlipGo Horizon Pro takes one of them and adds another one with Wide Ultra Extended Graphics Array (1920x1200), a superior refresh rate of 144Hz and 1200:1 contrast ratio in 16’’. 

In both cases, it is recommended for use in areas where natural light enters the room but allows you to see what is on the screen. I.e., your home office, a coworking space or college library, an indoor garden, or a coffee shop.
